The new state budget hammered out and submitted by Fast Eddie Rendell included $20 Million to construct new libraries.
While Philadelphia and other municipalities are grappling with huge budget shortfalls, cutting library hours, cutting library staff, and in some cases closing libraries, Rendell and the current crop of geniuses in Harrisburg are going to build two new ones. However, these libraries aren't replacement buildings, nor are they buildings where are children will read "Green Eggs and Ham", Huck Finn, To Catch a Mockingbird, etc. These structures will house the vast collections of bull shit produced by two of the longest serving leaches ever to feed at the taxpayers trough.
John Murtha and Arlen "the defector" Specter will be the recipients of this out pouring of gratitude.
Murtha a Marine and congressman who conveniently died while under investigation for funneling millions in defense contracts to his son-in-law, called Marines murderers, and was a typical self indulgent politician will in death continue his legacy of taking from us our tax dollars.
Specter, DA, Senator, Republocrat, single bullet, arrogant, mean spirited, Scottish law devotee, who never did anything but get reelected will too get a library to house all his crap, and I do mean crap. I am so glad that, while on the verge of financial collapse our Governor and representatives see fit to spend our precious few tax dollars on these two pirates.
It's not bad enough that they were overpaid for all these years, that they took for themselves huge pensions and benefit packages, we are now being forced to spend $20 million in their name, to benefit their legacies. To honor these two. Two people that couldn't get reelected today. This edict, this injustice, this theft, need to be meet head on. Send this message to all. Alert, warn, threaten, do whatever you can to stop this continued plundering. The pirates are at it again. This is no different from robbing at bank. Wake up America!
